I bet there is more tears and sadness in there right now that you can imagine. It must be absolutely hell. Many of the staff I'm sure have grown very attached to the animals in their care. Death threats against anyone really is too much. That energy and outrage can be directed in much more useful ways, I'm sure. Write to members of parliament demanding a low cost/free spay neuter clinic in the GTA would be one way. Telling everyone you know what is going on and encourage them to adopt is another.

SusanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492255858171331632.post-50057188040173716362010-05-13T18:09:48.968-04:002010-05-13T18:09:48.968-04:00I'm now hearing that some staff have been give...I'm now hearing that some staff have been given death threats. Ridiculous; not all shelter workers are bad, I know many (including some who do work for the OSPCA) and they do care deeply about animals. What would be more productive for them to get in touch with the qualified vets and groomers, etc, as the shelter has requested.Meaghan Edwardsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492255858171331632.post-54983751798126003912010-05-13T17:00:36.830-04:002010-05-13T17:00:36.830-04:00See, if someone from OSPCA had burst into the park...See, if someone from OSPCA had burst into the parking lot, through the hired thugs, and ran breathlessly up to a reporter interviewing the protesters when the story first broke and exclaimed, "You guys think we're killing pets over RINGWORM?! My god, that's insane! I demand to set the record straight immediately!" - then I might give some credence to their "miscommunication" story. Uh, now? Not so much.YesBiscuit!https://www.blogger.com/profile/13827466504671715047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492255858171331632.post-29309151502078804892010-05-13T16:28:57.267-04:002010-05-13T16:28:57.267-04:00do they REALLY think people will believe that crap...do they REALLY think people will believe that crap? Over and over they were quoted quite clearly as saying 350 were going to be euthanized! And justifying it (weakly) - not once did ANYONE say ...oh you misunderstand, or nope, I was misquoted. Just HOW stupid do thye think people are?selkiemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01179364078886503005noreply@blogger.com
