Toronto Animal Services Friday Review, May 8

Toronto Animal Services South won't be taking in any rescue dogs for a week or so while they clean the dog quarantine room of any trace of parvo.

The adoption room is open, though, and I hope some of these guys find their new homes this weekend. Lots of big, friendly ones this time. Handsome dogs all and especially check out Bach's baby blues.

Gretchen

Bach

Filou

Molly

Laurie

More on Bach here.

Bach is WAY kool! I want to trim the hair around the eyes of Filou...tidy up and round his feet some too...I'm a groomer and these things matter to me!

You have lots of diversity available at your shelter.

I suppose we do too, but we mostly get husky mixes in addition to the classic lab/pit mixes.

Thanka so much for sharing. I'm going to volunteer to take photos of dogs at our shelter, I think it makes a big difference.

That is a really sweet bunch of dogs there. I think nice pictures can make a big difference too - but I'm biased. These are great.

LynnO, I highly encourage you to take photos for your local shelter.

A good photo of a dog means the dog might get adopted faster and a dog out the door means another needy one can take its place.

And of course you get the added benefit of having a big collection of dog photos and some great memories to go along with them.

Gorgeous dogs, all of them! I especially like Gretchen, I have a soft spot of the dark coloured dogs.

Gretchen here looks IDENTICAL to my Cooper, he is a lab/great pyrenees mix and just the sweetest dog I have ever met! I can't get over how much they look alike, the ears, the coat length, the white paws and chest..its uncanny!
