Goodbye Angel
Angel had been feeling a bit sick recently and she wasn't putting on any weight despite having a good appetite. Over the weekend, she took a sudden turn for the worse and developed breathing problems. She was brought into a vet who diagnosed her with some severe lung disease (I'm not sure about the details) and it was decided to euthanize her.
Her partner, Butch is now alone and although he has to adjust to being a single dog, hopefully, that will make finding a home for him a bit easier. He's been at TAS South much too long.
Angel, I hope you're up in heaven, ensconced on some soul's warm lap, barking to your heart's content while you wait for the day you're together with your best friend once again.

Thank you so much for posting this Fred. Everyday Im on TAS website looking at all the dogs and cats on there. After you had posted the vids of the two of them in their cage I couldnt help but to fall in love with them both. I check TAS all the time hoping to see that they were adopted...It breaks my heart to see that Angel went to heaven. And poor Butch all alone now. I hope he finds his forever home soon. If I didnt have my hands full, I'd get him in a heartbeat. RIP Angel...
Angel and Butch had some good times together. Hope he finds a forever home soon. And that there's no bug going around the shelter.
Fred, that last picture of Angel and Butch did me in.
RIP Angel and I'm hoping Butch gets adopted soon.
I heard about this yesterday, so sad....poor Butch. But it might be easier for a single dog to be adopted - hopefully Butch has a good chance at finding his forever home.
How sad.
I was hoping these 2 would find a home together.
My condolences to the good folks who knew them and were taking care of them at TAS.
Poor little Butch, to lose his home and then his buddy.
Be whole and happy at the Bridge, Angel.
My heart is just breaking... poor Butch.
How sad! I was at TAS on the weekend to look at cats and saw the two of them being taken out for a walk. When I noticed the next day that Angel was no longer listed on the website, I had assumed that someone adopted her. So very, very sad. RIP Angel. And I really hope Butch finds a home soon...
RIP Angel. Fingers are crossed that Butch finds a good home soon.

I'm so sorry that she's gone. Your last photo of Angel and Butch is beautiful. Rest in peace, sweet Angel. I'm sorry and surprised you didn't find a forever home...I hope Butch finds his way.
RIP sweet Angel...and Butch I certainly hope you find a loving new home soon.
Love this blog. Poor dear.
Butch looks more like a German Pinscher to me, not a Mini Pinscher, as listed on Petharbor..
I'd take Butch if I could, this made me really sad. That last picture is amazing!
awwwwwww man that is sad. I had a great time with these two the last time I was in. They sat with me, both on my lap, on the grass giving me love and kisses. Their affection actually made me a little sad. I could tell they were feeling the need for some real TLC. My heart broke a little bit that day and a whole lot today after hearing about Angel. I will hold the good memories and just put my faith in the staff at TAS that were forced to make the final decision. Butch is a nice little dog and I will pray for him.
Fred have you seen him? how does he seem?
Susan
I am so sad to read this. I met Angel and Butch at the PetSmart adoptathon in September. They weren't the right fit for our family, but they were so sweet and I had truly hoped they would find the right home. I hope that Butch finds a loving home to help ease the pain of missing Angel.
