This must be the week for bonded pairs. These two were previously a breeding pair who got dumped once the breeder moved on to a younger pair of producers. They are seriously in need of some grooming and seriously adorable nevertheless and seriously sweethearts for each other.
MaggieThe female, Maggie, is a bit shy at first but once she knows you're a friend, she'll be trying to crawl into your lap first chance she gets.
BingoHer partner, Bingo, is a lot more forward but then boys are like that aren't they?
Maggie and Bingo will be adopted out together.

I have a P.S.: First, thankfully for these two, I think they’ll be snatched up in the blink of an eye and off to a better life. But do I read this post correctly? Someone had these dogs for financial gain, and has now dumped them on the public’s hands because he or she wants a “new pair” to continue their breeding business? I guess I should be glad that these dogs are no longer part of some breeding operation, or a mill, or as badly off as the border collie mixes you wrote about in “5”. But it still seems inherently wrong to me that someone can use these dogs for financial gain and dump them for new ones to continue the same cycle without any penalty. Does TAS know for sure this is why they were dumped, and the identity of this breeder? If so, can anything be done to stop them?
Borderjack, these two were definitely breeders though they're not from a puppy mill. And no, there's nothing anyone can do to stop breeders from dumping their dogs. It's just like anyone else dumping their dogs.
I would think most legit breeders look after their retired dogs but as with everything, there's going to be jerks out there who don't give a shit.
I'm pleased they won't be pimped for profit any more. Its sad however hat the supply and demand of John Q. Public will continue for the next pair so someone can get their pet store or kijiji designer breed.

so, these two moppets make someone a few bucks, but when it comes time for them to retire, *dump*. I know most small breeders are more responsible than this, and either keep or carefully re-home retired breeding dogs and cats. But it takes only one to give them all a bad name.
I hope TAS charged this idiot a fee, at least. But, knowing animal people, I'll bet you just took them in and thanked G-d that at least they weren't thrown out of a car on an abandoned lot.
At the very least, the breeder should be reported to the local branch of the CKC.

Their past is a horrible story, but a familiar one. That's a shame really. Browse around Kijiji and see how many of these types of puppies are available - all for $800 or so. Crazy times.
Thanks Fred. It just bugs me that people can just start the cycle all over again. Onequarterdal is right - it's demand by the public.
It never ceases to amaze me though, that there are so many great animals in shelters...
fur-real - - out my way they do dump them on the side of the road. I know a rescue person who ended up with a yorkie female that way.

Better to adopt through kismutt (www.kismutt.com) than kijiji or pet store. Likely the same bloodlines, but your money is put to better use. Kismutt takes the ones the "millers" and pet stores no longer want (adults and older pups). Sorry Fred, a shameless plug for kismutt, couldn't resist. :-)
Ahhh, really could these 2 be any cuter? Let us know when they get adopted, which by the looks of them will be soon enough :)
