You know, the complaint comment on the Youtube link was ridiculous. Even if this man did try to steal a dog, organizations should have a better way of dealing with it than having manager drag him out the door and dump him in dog urine. I

don't think having an appropriate policy in place is too much to ask considering the sheer volume of people who walk through their doors every day.

Oh my. That's so sad. A respect for life was clearly absent in that organization.

I think that might be one of the most horrible things i've seen to come out of this whole mess

Did anything happen with this? Legal action I mean? For the poor old man to be tossed on the street for opening a dogs cage...disgusting.

At the shelter I volunteered at, dogs were accidentally let out all the time (due to lack of staff supervision, usually).

I cannot believe the way this was handled. Oh wait, let me rephrase. After following the past few weeks events, I can believe it, I just don't want to.

Did anything come of this?
It says in the comments that this was an elderly gentleman who mistakenly let the dog out.
Were charges laid against the Manager?
Wouldn`t it be assault to do this to someone?

I also read yesterday that the THS has hired a high profile lawyer to defend the people charged.
Are the charges against the THS or against individuals?
Why is the THS hiring the lawyer if it`s individuals?

Has this video been shown to the police? If not, why not? Or to a television station or a newspaper reporter? Regardless of what this man did, even if he did try to steal a dog, the person who is dragging him out most likely has no authority to lay his hands on him, much less drag him outside. The police should have been called immediately.

Looks like a typical day at the Toronto Humane Society where the more brutal you are to people the more you must love the animals.
