Tim Trow: "Frankly, I don't think I need a reference."

That's because he can't get one.

From Toronto Star article, Humane society chief admits 'I'm not a saint'.

I can't believe that idiot Ian lied about why I was fired. I do find it amusing that they are so threatened by me that they feel the need to talk about me to the press.

This annoyed me http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_35504.aspx

DOZENS?!? Umm clearly they were not there.

Marcie, they're trying to discredit the opposition. Standard adversarial tactic, and very low-class.

I hope I`m misunderstanding something in the article.
Does the dog in his office go home with him at night and come in to work with him or has that dog been living in his office for 6 years?

Is this one of those pit bull court cases due to that law?
Do Humane Societies actually
appeal Court cases on behalf of animals and who pays for that?

Ian, Bandit, the dog, has been at the THS for years. If it's taken off the property, no one knows about it.

I'm not sure, but I think Bandit's problems predate BSL. Regardless of breed, by most accounts aside from Trow, he was and still is a dangerous dog. Trow has supposedly spent a huge amount of money on legal battles over this dog.

You can google him. There's lot of info out there about him still.

Ian, Bandit has been living in Tim's office. He does not go home with Tim, or leave THS property. He lives in a cage most of the time, but sometimes Tim lets him out to hang out in the office and staff take him on short walks on the property. When I worked there, Bandit was walked on the roof of the THS to go to the washroom.

Donor dollars is where the money has come from to defend Bandit in court.

That is just too bizarre for words.
I have no idea if Bandit deserves to be defended or not but using donor money seems odd.

Bandit is not at the THS for anything BSL related, he is there because he mauled a little boy and his parents wanted him to be put down. Trow turned this into some perverted crusade and now 6 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars later it's still there.

The dog had bit since being at the THS & is very unpredictable. I will never understand why Trow thinks it is appropriate to keep this dog alive in a cage for the rest of it's life, it can not leave the shelter and if it did it would attack someone without a doubt. What a mess.

Bandit does predate BSL. He has been there since 2004 when the owners brought him in to be euthanized after he mauled and nearly killed a young child. Trow promulgated a bizarre story about how the little boy shoved pencils in Bandit's ear until poor Bandit couldn't take it anymore. Trow keeps Bandit in his office. In the meantime Bandit's case has been appealed for years at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars. In the meantime Bandit has never changed - a face biter. When I was there he attacked an ACW on the patio biting her in the face. Later Bandit bit a supervisor in the neck. He mauled a dog necessitating 70 stitches.
